Very slow moving showers and thunderstorms will move into our area overnight and Sunday. The potential for flooding will be heightened in southern and eastern Kentucky.
HARLAN COUNTY, Ky. (WKYT) - One woman is dead after an overnight fire in Harlan County. That fire began around 1:30 Friday morning.
Dispatchers say that at one point, flames were shooting thirty feet into the air from the home on Highway 568.
Kentucky State Police say that a widow, who lived in the home alone, died. She was 61 years old.
Detectives say that right now the house is too hot for investigators to get inside. They will go in once the fire is completely out.
