Coroner releases cause of death of Johnson County couple

JOHNSON COUNTY, Ky. (WKYT) - We're learning more about a couple found buried on their farm last month.

Police found the couple after receiving information about how the couple died, and where their bodies would be found.

The Johnson County Coroner has now confirmed Larry and Sandara Blanton died of blunt force trauma.

The couple's son, Willie Blanton, was named a person of interest in the case. His girlfriend, Amanda Fannin, reached a plea deal with investigators. She was previously named a person of interest in the case, as well. As a part of the deal, we're told she will not be charged. In return, Fannin will testify and give a full statement about her knowledge of the couple's disappearance.

As a part of the deal, Willie Blanton will not face the death penalty if charges are filed against him. A grand jury is expected to hear the case against Willie Blanton by the end of March 2013.
