One of the nation's largest discount warehouses may be headed to Lexington.
The Herald-Leader reports Costco has filed an application with the City Planning Commission to open a location near Hamburg Pavilion. It would be along Man O-War Boulevard on the opposite side of I-75.
Costco is a membership warehouse similar to Sam's Club. Developer Patrick Madden tells the newspaper he hopes Costco could be open by the end of 2013, but there are several zoning issues to resolve because of the size of the planned store.
