LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT) - Lexington Police have charged one person after a costly break-in on a college campus.

The crime happened early Monday morning on the Transylvania University campus in Lexington.

Police tell WKYT that John Carwell and Truman Miller admitted to breaking in through a laundry room window on the back side of Clay Hall. When they got inside, investigators say the two began ransacking nine different rooms.

In all, police think the two caused hundreds of dollars in damage.

Miller will be arraigned on Tuesday afternoon. He's charged with criminal mischief and burglary.
