Our winter storm is shattering records. 17.1" of snow fell in Lexington and that's the most ever recorded during a two day snowstorm. We've had 32.1" of snow in the last 17 days.
This weather couldn't have worked out any better for us on this Thanksgiving Day. Beautiful outside through this afternoon as you can take your Thanksgiving meals outside or inside...take your pick! Highs today reach the mid 60s all across the area. A big time front swings through Friday after noon time. We will be close to 50 by midday then 30's by supper time! Showers will accompany these chilly temperatures as well. The best time to head out shopping before the showers arrive will be during the early morning hours. I'd say from midnight-10 am. This will NOT be a wash out, so if you can't make it out shopping by that time frame don't worry because these will be light showers, but do look to stick around through the afternoon. We could see a few flurries during Saturday morning as our highs only make it to the upper 30s for most of the area. We all become dry by Saturday afternoon. Have a happy Thanksgiving!!
