Crash in Owen County kills two from Frankfort

OWEN COUNTY, Ky. (WKYT) - A crash in Owen County killed two people from Frankfort Monday night.

State Police say a truck crossed the center line of Highway 127 in Owenton, and hit the victim's car head-on.

Police say the driver of the car, Lillie Newby, 73, and her passenger, Patricia Gibson, 76, both died at the hospital.

They say the driver of the truck, Gary Sigretto, 51, of Owenton, was airlifted to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Police tell us toxicology results for Sigretto are pending.
