Crash kills two teenagers in Oldham County

OLDHAM COUNTY, Ky. (WKYT) - A weekend crash claimed the lives of two teens in Oldham County and injured several others.

The crash happened Saturday at Highway 53 and Old Sligo Road. The crash killed 18-year-old Ben Clifford and 19-year-old Haley O'Kelley and sent six other people to the hospital.

Witnesses said the truck was traveling along Highway 53 when the crash happened. They said the crash happened too quickly to have been prevented.

"The car was turning out to go south and the truck just T-boned it. The car didn't have enough time to make it and the truck didn't have enough time to slow down," the witness said.

The driver of the car carrying the two teens was 20-year-old Brianna Zambrzycki, who was taken to the hospital with serious injuries.

The truck's driver, 29-year-old Michael Baker, and 24-year-old Stephanie Noel, as well as three children, had only minor injuries.

Police are still investigating the crash.
