Crash near Midway sends two to the hospital

Midway, Ky (WKYT) - A crash just after Midnight Friday sent two people to the hospital and left part of the interstate shut down overnight.

It happened on Eastbound I-64 near Midway.

Officials say it appears a van tried to merge back into traffic from the shoulder when another vehicle crashed into them.

Both drivers were taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

The roadway has since reopened.
