CLARK COUNTY, Ky. (WKYT) - Police think speed played a role in a crash that sent one driver to the hospital.

The crash happened just before 6 p.m. Tuesday, along Irvine Road in Clark County.

A witness tells us a car came around a curve, lost control, and slammed into a utility pole.

Police say the driver of that car was taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

No one else was hurt.
