GEORGETOWN, Ky. (WKYT) -- Friends and family gathered to remember a man killed in a motorcycle crash a year ago.
Tony Gray died when his motorcycle hit a horse trailer on Newtown Pike last September.
Wednesday he was honored with a balloon release in Georgetown.
Gray loved animals so his family is asking those who knew and live him to donate to their local animal shelter in his honor.
"I just thought it was a big deal this year to donate to the humane society because as soon as we saw those stories on the news about the shelter needing donations he would have been the first person to donate his entire paycheck," said Marsha Muir, Gray's fiance.
Marsha Muir says her fiance had so many friends that she hopes giving back to something he loved will help keep his memory alive in their hearts.
People also left special notes written to Gray.
