Crews continue to search for missing couple

Posted: Sun 11:41 PM, Oct 14, 2012

JOHNSON COUNTY, Ky. (WKYT/WYMT) - A crew was out for hours this morning searching an eastern Kentucky lake for a missing couple, who hasn't been seen for a month.

Johnson County Sheriff Dwayne Price tells us two boats and a dive team were at Paintsville Lake for about six hours Sunday looking for Sandra and Larry Blanton.

We're told the couple was not found.

The Blanton's son, Willie, has been named a person of interest by deputies.

He is in the Big Sandy Regional Detention Center, after police say he called a pharmacy pretending to be his father so he could get a prescription filled.

His girlfriend, Amanda Fannin has also been named a person of interest.

She is also behind bars on drug related charges.
