Fire causes minimal damage at Kingsford Charcoal plant in Pulaski Co.

PULASKI COUNTY, Ky. (WKYT) - Work is expected to resume Tuesday afternoon at the Kingsford Charcoal plant in Pulaski County after morning fire stopped production.

Several fire crews responded to the plant on U.S. 27 south of Burnside around 10:30 a.m.

Firefighters tell us a conveyor belt moving charcoal caught fire.

Emergency crews put out the fire shortly after they arrived. We're told there was minimal damage, no one at the plant was injured.
