Crews respond to near drowning at Frankfort pool

FRANKFORT, Ky. (WKYT) - Emergency crews are saying it was a near drowning at a Frankfort pool on Friday afternoon.

Emergency crews say they were called to the Juniper Hill pool just before 1 pm Friday.

They responded to a call that a child was pulled from the water and was in distress.

When crews arrived they say lifeguards were giving the child CPR.

WKYT has learned the child was taken to Frankfort Regional Hospital.

The child's name and condition are unknown at this time.

Frankfort police say the child was with a group from Shelby County schools.
