Once word got out that 31-year-old Sarah Hart was missing her community mobilized itself with volunteers going door to door, and police scanning from the air for any sign of her. “For her to fall of the map is very unusual,” said KSP Trooper Billy Gregory.

Hart was jogging with her sister when she was last seen about 5:30 central time. “She told her sister she wasn’t feeling well, and had to turn back and never returned,” said Gregory .

More than 5 hours later two volunteers searching for her, a father and son. Hart's body was found under a tree. A nearby police officer confirmed it was Sarah Hart. Police said that location was about a half mile from the point she was last seen.

“She is going to be so missed in this church,” said Ada Lawson, a member of Freedom Christian Church in rural Russell County.

Hart grew up at that church that her father pastors. Her job is a pharmacist, but many say her life was a wife, mother and church volunteer. “Sarah was a beautiful child of God, raised in a beautiful family and in turn raising her own family,” said Lawson.

Her cause and manner of death remains under investigation and police say it could be several days before they know exactly what happened. “We really can’t rule out anything, whether it is natural or otherwise,” said Gregory.

Police say there will be an autopsy in Frankfort and a preliminary report could be available by Friday.
