LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT)-Investigators are hopeful you can help them crack a burglary case.
They say sometime on February 5th of this year, someone stole TV's and electronics from a home on Wyatt Parkway. Police say while the thieves were there, they stumbled upon and took some dangerous items.
"The most concerning thing is the firearms that were taken," Officer Bryan Penix of the Lexington Police Department said.
The 5 stolen guns include a 12-guage Mossbird; a 20-guage Woodstock shotgun; a 20-guage Wincester; a Mark-five Weatherby Delux Bolt and a semi-automatic long rifle pistol.
Police say a neighbor noticed a back door open around 11:30 that morning and tell investigators they saw it closed early that afternoon. But officers say that neighbor never saw anyone come in or out.
"The homeowner is unsure at this time if they possibly left the door unlocked because it was the rear door," Officer Penix said. "There's also a large privacy fence that could conceal a vehicle; they think this person could have pulled into the back yard."
Crimestoppers is offering a $1,000 cash reward for information leading to an arrest in this case. Call 859-253-2020; it is a free call and it is anonymous.
