LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT)- Lexington Police are hoping surveillance pictures of a theft suspect will lead to the arrest of the man they say took more than $500 worth of jewelry in a case.
Officers say the crime happened on May 1, 2013 at the Dan's discount Jewelry on Versailles Road. Officers say the man, described as about 5'8" tall and 160 pounds walked in, grabbed the case and walked out.
Officers say the white man, last seen wearing a white t-shirt and jeans with medium brown hair was only in the store for a few seconds.
Now, police say this man could be responsible for other area crimes.
"The detective in this case thinks he could be linked to other thefts," Det. Robert Sarrantonio of the Lexington Police Department said.
