Crowbar used in attempted ATM theft

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT) - Two men are in jail, after police say they tried to use a crowbar to break into an ATM machine.

Lexington police got the call of suspicious activity around 3:00 a.m. Tuesday, outside the Fifth/Third Bank on Main Street.

Investigators say both men were drunk at the time. One was charged with criminal mischief, the other for public intoxication.

They were unsuccessful in breaking open the ATM.
