A band of heavy rain continues to sink southward into the region. We will have to keep a close eye on this later this evening into tonight. The rest of the forecast remains unchanged with a major winter storm moving in late Wednesday and Thursday.
I hope everyone had a great weekend as some of us stayed dry all weekend long, but the others felt showers. That's going to be the same thing today with a 30% chance of showers and storms. The best chance remains south of I-64 and the farther you go north the less likelihood of seeing rain. Patchy fog out there this morning. Our highs today will be in the lower to mid 80s, but it will be the humidity that's the problem. You can expect the same weather on Tuesday.
Going into Wednesday showers and storms will increase as the front slides slightly to the west. That puts us in the zone for a 60% chance of rain through the day. Wednesday looks to be our best chance of rain for the next 7 days.
Warmer and muggier weather is on the way as we head toward the weekend.
