Deadly log truck accident closes road in McCreary County

MCCREARY COUNTY, Ky. (WKYT) - U.S. Highway 27 is closed at the Kentucky-Tennessee border after a crash.

Kentucky State Police say a vehicle and log truck hit head-on in McCreary County. The crash happened around 10 Thursday morning.

Police say a vehicle crossed the center line and hit log truck head-on. At least one person is dead.

The highway is blocked in both directions. Police tell WKYT they hope to have the road re-opened around noon.
