BOYLE COUNTY, Ky. (WKYT) - Officials say Michael Hockensmith, Angela Hockensmith and Daniel Smith were the victims in Friday's triple murder.

The Hockensmith's were co-owners of the ABC Gold, Games and More in downtown Danville which is where the deadly robbery happened around 9 Friday morning.

Police believe the triple murder was a result of an attempted robbery that went wrong.

The Hockensmith's two young children, a 9-year-old boy and a 14-month-old girl, were with them inside of the pawn shop when the robbery occurred. Officials say the couple's 9-year-old was the one who called 911.

Both of the children are now staying with their grandmother and police say neither of them suffered any injuries.

Police say they are looking for a heavy set white man, between 40 and 50-years-old and was last seen wearing a green camo jacket.

Police say he was able to exit out of the shop's garage and then take off down an alleyway in between the shop and the neighboring store.

An active manhunt continues for the shooting suspect.

Following the shooting most schools in the area went on lockdown, including Centre College, the BCTC campus in Danville, all Boyle County Schools and Danville Independent Schools.

The lockdown has since been lifted at all schools.
