Debate energizes Romney

DENVER (AP) - Republican Mitt Romney campaigns in Virginia Thursday, energized by a solid performance in last night's televised presidential debate.

There also are signs that the race is tightening in some of the battleground states where President Barack Obama has enjoyed the advantage.

Obama campaigns Thursday in Colorado and Wisconsin.

The next presidential debate is Oct. 16 at Hofstra University in Hempstead, N.Y.
