Deer barrels through grocery store window

HARLAN, Ky. (AP) - Maybe the deer was just browsing.

What witnesses described as a "good sized six-point buck" jumped through a window at Food City in Harlan late Wednesday, shattering glass and scaring employees and customers.

Store Manager Cathy Mills told the Harlan Daily Enterprise (http://bit.ly/X0b5Pd ) the deer entered the store just before midnight by jumping through ha top window of the door.

The deer headed to the produce department, then through floral, down aisle one and back up aisle three before leaving the store through an open door where someone had just exited.

The deer, which Mills says appeared to be dazed, followed a customer out of the door.

Two Harlan police officers searched, but could not find the deer.

No one was injured and nothing was missing from the store.
