Dense fog, first day of classes at UK make for slower morning commute

Heavier traffic than usual was expected for Wednesday morning's commute.

Dense fog formed in central Kentucky overnight, cutting visibility especially in rural areas.

Numerous accidents were reported during Wednesday's morning rush hour.

It also took drivers longer to reach areas around the University of Kentucky campus.

Classes for the fall semester started Wednesday.

You may want to add more time onto your morning and afternoon commutes, especially over the next few weeks.
