Deputies: Laurel County man made up story to get money

LAUREL COUNTY, Ky. (WKYT) - He held a sign claiming he was stranded and trying to feed his three children, but investigators say it was all a lie.

Laurel County Sheriff's Deputies arrested 20-year-old Ryan Hall Sunday afternoon at exit 29 on Interstate 75 for public intoxication.

During the investigation, deputies say Hall admitted he was drinking cough syrup and smoking marijuana.

Deputies say he made up the story about having children in an effort to get money from strangers.
