Frankfort, KY. (WKYT) - A diner owner said he would stop at nothing until the burglar who allegedly robbed his business was caught.

Rick Paul, owner of Rick's White Light Diner, in downtown Frankfort, says he's amazed how quickly police were able to locate the man, less than 48-hours after 27 NEWSFIRST aired the video surveillance footage.

"I'm astonished with how the news and police responded to this story, amazing," said Rick Paul.

Frankfort Police say 22-year-old Aaron Lamb broke into the famous Bridge Street Diner on the banks of the Kentucky River, crawled around for a bit, stole $1,500 worth of electronics, even had a bite to eat.

"I give him credit there, at least he knows good food when he see's it," Paul said.

Most of the thief's every move was caught on camera, and Paul says Lamb clearly broke into the wrong business.

"Because if you think it's a good idea to break into the White Light Diner for anybody else out there, you're wrong, bad idea...we will catch you," Paul told 27 NEWSFIRST.

Officers were able to recover Paul's stolen laptop and flat screen TV, but his iPad is still missing. Lamb told investigators he threw it onto the banks of the Kentucky River.

He's currently being held in the Franklin County Detention Center on a $10,000 bond.
