LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT) - South Carolina has moved into the upper echelon of the SEC and will go into Saturday night's game with Kentucky a 21 point favorite. This week after practice, UK coach Mark Stoops said his players don't know what it takes.
"No they don't know, they don't know what it takes." said Stoops. "South Carolina's been doing things right for about what, 14 years minimum. Two hall of fame coaches for 14 years. Those are some grown men and they play the game the way it's suppose to be played, because they've been doing things right for 14 years, at least."
The Gamecocks have won 12 of the last 13 games over Kentucky. Stoops said he's looking forward to matching wits with South Carolina coach Steve Spurrier. Stoops has known Spurrier a long time, his older brother Bob worked under him. "I do enjoy it, I do. I really enjoy playing guys that I have a lot of respect for, it's fun.
Kickoff Saturday night will be at 7:30 p.m. in Columbia. The game will be televised by Fox Sports Net.
