Clinic owner sentenced in Scott County pill mill case

SCOTT COUNTY, Ky. (WKYT) - A Central Kentucky judge sentences a clinic owner convicted of running a pill mill.

Ernest Singleton received a 20-year prison sentence. He must serve at least 85% of that sentence.

Singleton was convicted by a federal jury in June. He ran pain clinics in both Scott and Grant Counties. Investigators say he illegally dispensed prescription drugs for thousands of patients.
