HARLAN, Ky. (AP) - A producer from Owensboro is working on a documentary about coal in Harlan County and looking for volunteers to participate in it.

Kim Childers of Kaci Productions told the Harlan Daily Enterprise that she is looking for residents and businesses to participate in the production, which is expected to begin in March.

Childers said she wants to document mining and its effects on the area - both good and bad - from 1900 to present day.

Those interested in participating should submit photos, videos, audio or personal statements to be considered. She says submissions must be received by March 15.
