Showers and scattered storms continue to increase across the region. Heavy downpours could lead to local high water issues.
BARDSTOWN, Ky. (AP) - Police in central Kentucky have recovered dozens of pairs of shoes taken from a Bardstown charity.
Nelson County Sheriff Stephen Campbell told a Louisville TV station that most, if not all, of the 200 pairs of shoes taken from a Bardstown Rotary Club storage unit on Monday are accounted for.
Deputies arrested 31-year-old Brandon Humphrey on Thursday on charged of receiving stolen property and possession of a firearm by a felon.
Campbell says there may be more arrests because detectives believe three to five people are involved.
Rotary club member Ashley Patterson says he hoped to collect double or triple the original goal of 300 pairs, citing the extra attention because of the theft case.
Jail records did not list an attorney for Humphrey.
