We will finally catch a break in the humidity this weekend after a front drops in this morning. We are only seeing a few spotty showers ahead of and behind the cool front. We definitely need more rain than we are getting. Parts of eastern KY have officially been upgraded to a moderate drought as we lack anywhere from 2" to 5.5" of rain for the year. We can tell by the brown grass but the deficit will pose a greater wildfire threat and may put a limit on your 4th of July plans. The dry air this weekend may put more stress on your plants but you'll most likely enjoy it. Highs will be seasonal for early Summer on Saturday. Highs will reach into the mid 80s with lows around 62. Sunday the heat returns with sunny skies.
Another front will drop in on Monday but rain chances look very slight as it passes. Cooler temperatures are expected early next week with sunny skies continuing. Be sure to make outdoor plans!
Have a great weekend!
