Heavy snow continues to increase across the region. Snowfall rates of 1-2 inches per hour are likely this evening and tonight. More than a foot of snow may fall by Thursday morning.
CAMPBELLSVILLE, Ky (WKYT) Campbellsville Police are investigating a freak accident that killed a man driving down Highway 55 Wednesday afternoon. Police say they found Paul Dameron in his pickup around 3:40 pm on July 24.
Police say Dameron was headed south on Hwy 55 when witnesses saw his truck slow down and drift into the other lane of traffic before it went up an embankment, where it came to rest. Police say a rock had passed through the vehicle's windshield, striking Dameron in the facial area. Campbellsville Police say a road side mowing crew was working in the area.
AirEvac flew Dameron to UofL Hospital, where he died a short time later. Police are still investigating the accident.
Dameron was the director of institutional research at Campbellsville University, where he had worked for more than 32 years.
