Driver pulled from burning car, leaves scene

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT) - Police are looking for a driver who survived a fiery crash and then left the scene.

Lexington Police were called to the scene of a crash around three Thanksgiving morning on New Circle Road, near the Alumni Drive exit.

A car crashed into the median cable barrier and caught fire. The car continued to move, spreading flames into the median grass.

A passerby who saw the crash was able to pull the driver from the burning car. At that point, witnesses say the driver came to and took off running from the scene.

When firefighters arrived, the car was engulfed in flames. They were able to knock down that fire, as well as the one in the grass.

Police are still looking for the driver.
