Lexington caught the news organization's attention after a Lexington man wrote a comment on their website venting about the city's traffic.
Lyle Goodwin says he's surprised his comments were picked up.
"You don't expect to get a call from an editor at the BBC," Goodwin says. "That's pretty prestigious."
The fact Lexington is getting international attention for traffic is raising some eyebrows. Just eight years ago, Men's Health magazine ranked Lexington fourth in a list of shortest commutes in the country.
Lyle and other drivers agree Lexington probably doesn't belong in an article about the world's monster traffic jams. Lyle does stand by his assertion it can be a frustrating place for a driver.
"New Circle Road and Versailles Road?" That's 200 feet of terror."
The only other American city in the article was Austin, Texas.
