LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT) - Main roads were cleared quickly after Thursday nights snow. It took road crews a little longer to get to side roads around Lexington.

Most of the snow and ice was gone by Friday afternoon, but it left behind lots of water and that could mean refreezing on Friday night.

People who live in neighborhoods like Polo Club say they have ways of dealing with the slick conditions.

"Honestly? I just go with my husband. I think that's better," says Scarlett McGary.

Drivers are warned to be extra careful after dark. What looks like wet pavement could actually be black ice.
