Serious injuries after car crash in Laurel County

LAUREL COUNTY, Ky. (WYMT/WKYT) - Two men are hospitalized in serious condition after a car crash in Laurel County on Monday morning.

Laurel Co. Sheriff's Deputies report that Justin Adams, 19, of Gray, KY, was witnessed driving a BMW southbound on US 25 when he crossed into the opposite lane and struck a Chevrolet Avalanche head-on.

The driver of the Avalanche, identified as Clyde Hamilton, 42, of Corbin, was flown to the University of Tennessee Hospital with serious injuries. Adams was also airlifted to U.T. Hospital with serious injuries.

Officers from London and Laurel County, in addition to first responders from the Laurel County Rescue Squad, the West Knox Fire Department, and Ambulance, Inc. of Laurel County, assisted at the scene.
