RICHMOND, Ky. (WKYT) - EKU Police have made an arrest after a suspicious item forced a dorm to be evacuated Monday.

EKU officials say police arrested 18-year-old Jacob Walker, and charged him with terroristic threatening. They say other people could be charged as well.

EKU officials say Walker is a freshman at the university.

Students were forced out of Palmer Hall around 4 p.m., after EKU officials say a residence hall staff member found a small refrigerator covered in duct tape with a note on it. Nothing but rotten food was found inside. There's no word on what the note said.

The staff member called EKU Police, who called in the KSP Bomb Squad to investigate.

Students were allowed back inside the dorm around 6 p.m. Monday.
