CAIRO (AP) - Egyptian state television says the country's highest appeal court has decided to suspend its work nationwide to protest the president's decrees giving himself nearly absolute powers.

It says Wednesday's decision was made by judges of the Cassation Court who said they would not return to work until President Mohammed Morsi rescinded his decrees.
