GRAYSON COUNTY, Ky. (WKYT) - State Police arrested an 84-year old man and charged him with murder and assault.
Alva Gussler, of Clarkson, is in the Grayson County Detention Center.
Kentucky State Police were called to a home on Tara Lane in Clarkson around 8:00 p.m. Thursday night.
Troopers say Gussler got into an argument with 59-year-old Laura L. Ford. Ford lived in the home with Gussler and his son, 48-year-old Michael C. Gussler.
At some point in the argument, investigators say Alva Gussler pulled out a gun and shot Ford in the chest. She was transported to Twin Lakes Regional Medical Center where she was pronounced dead.
His son was shot in the arm and treated at Twin Lakes Regional Medical Center. His injury is non-life threatening.
