Electrical problems force Fayette County to close one school for extra day

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT) - Some Lexington students will get another day of winter vacation.

Fayette County Schools just announced there will be no school on Wednesday for Russell Cave Elementary.

This only affects one school. All other students will be back in class tomorrow.

Russell Cave is having electrical issues. Right now, it has no heat and no power.

A contractor is working on the problem, but school officials say there's no way it will be repaired by Wednesday morning.
