LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT) - Some tense moments for passengers aboard a small, private plane. More than a dozen crews were called out to the Blue Grass Airport early Thursday morning.

A plane requested making an emergency landing. It reportedly was circling to burn off fuel, before the decision was made to continue on to its destination. Officials at the airport say the plane was headed for Indianapolis.

It's unclear at this time what problems the plane encountered. We will continue to follow this situation throughout the day.
