LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT) - Frightening moments for a Lexington employee, after he became trapped inside a walk-in freezer.

It happened around midnight early Monday morning at the Baskin-Robbins on Tates Creek Road.

Lexington police say an employee was doing inventory, when a ramp used to load items fell against the outside of the freezer door, trapping him inside.

Police say he was able to pry open the door just enough to get reception on his cell phone and call for help.

After spending about 30 minutes in temperatures around ten degrees, officials say the employee is doing fine.
