LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT) - After more than two weeks on the run, police say a suspect who escaped from a jail transport van is back behind bars tonight.

The Fayette County Jail tells us police arrested 21-year-old Mustafa Qasem just before 7 p.m. Thursday in Lexington.

We've been tracking the search for him since September fifth, when police say managed to get out of the van along New Circle Road even though he was wearing handcuffs.

Police say along with escape he's facing criminal mischief and drug charges.
