Mainly dry weather continues across central and eastern Kentucky into tonight. There is still a small shot at a shower or thunderstorm going up across eastern and southern parts of the area. Some dense fog may also develop late tonight.
Steamy air moves back in for Thursday with mid to upper 80s for highs. Isolated showers and thunderstorms will also be possible.
Scattered showers and storms will increase on Friday as a cold front nears from the northwest. This front will drop into the region on Saturday with widespread showers and storms. That will keep temps mainly in the 70s for highs.
Much cooler and drier air moves in for Sunday with temps in the 50s to start and upper 70s for highs.
The next threat for showers and thunderstorms will blow in by the middle of next week. That may be followed by a much bigger push of cool air.
