Facebook post leads to extra security at OH school

SPRINGFIELD, Ohio (AP) - School officials in western Ohio are increasing security at a high school after a student posted on Facebook that he could "do better" than the Newtown, Conn., shooting that killed 26 people.

The Dayton Daily News reports that the apparent threat created safety concerns at Shawnee High School in Springfield. Sheriff's deputies planned to provide extra security at the school Monday.

The Facebook post has since been taken down. Deputies took the teen in for questioning, but he has not been arrested or charged.

School district leaders put out an "all-call" to parents Sunday alerting them to the situation.
