LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT) - She died in a terrible accident outside her home. Saturday, family and friends remembered a two-year-old killed three years ago.
They celebrated Addie McReynolds's life by doing what she loved - spending time outdoors.
Addie McReynolds was only two when she died in a lawn mower accident outside her family's home in Lexington. Saturday, hundreds of children celebrated her life during an event held in her name at the Kentucky Children's Garden inside the Arboretum.
"It's wonderful to see so many people really enjoying the time and laughing and having fun. It's good," said mother Teresa McReynolds, "my husband said that he wanted a day to remember her that everybody could be happy. So looking out it just really warms our heart to see so many people enjoying the day."
