LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT) -- A murdered Lexington man's family wants an investigation into the police department's 911 center.
The attorney for Alex Johnson's family sent a letter to the city's public safety committee this week, asking for the investigation.
Johnson disappeared from his North Hanover apartment on December 20.
Police found his body a month later.
Last week, the attorney told us two witnessed called 911 to report a beating on North Hanover, but police never interviewed them.
The Herald-Leader reports, in his letter to the city the attorney says the calls weren't take seriously and if they had been Johnson would still be alive.
Two men have been charged in the case.
