LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT) - Just days after a Lexington teen was murdered after being shot in the head Tuesday night on Winburn Drive. Tonight, family and friends gathered at Highlands Park to remember Jaleel Raglin.

At the vigil, several family members spoke out and pleaded with everyone to stop the violence. They said that Raglin's death does not have to be the end, but rather a beginning for a better life for his friends and his family, especially his child that he now leaves behind.

Raglin's parents told us they were moved by the number of people that showed up at the vigil to remember their son.

"Jaleel would always say, 'I don't have nobody. Nobody's there.' But look at this! Our son touched all these people," remarked Tammy Adams, Raglin's mother.

Raglin will be laid to rest next week.

Lexington police arrested 20-year-old Malik Johnson for the murder. He pleaded not guilty on Wednesday.
