Sunday night hundreds of people packed a southern Kentucky church to honor a woman police say was murdered while on a morning jog.

So many people showed up at Sarah Hart's visitation in Russell County the line stretched out the church doors. Hart's body was found Thursday. Police arrested Christopher Allman for the murder hours later.

Like many of Hart's loved ones, Greg Hammond has had a hard time coming to terms with her murder. "I'm sure a lot of people have struggled as I have with anger and not understanding in our hearts," Hammond said, "but the family wishes to turn that around because that's not the correct way to feel."

A deacon at the Freedom Christian Church, where Hart's father is the minister, Hammond spoke on behalf of the family at the visitation. "They would like to make this a celebration of her life and her devotion to Jesus Christ," Allman said, "Sarah's bible was bookmarked, and we opened it up this morning, and it had these passages underlined. Proverbs 3: 5-6 'Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding.'"

Reading from a statement prepared by the family, Hammond continued, "And also Romans 8:28 'And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love Him.'"

Hammond gave thanks to the public, which has shown great interest since news broke of the pregnant mother of three and her efforts to fight off her killer. "The desire of the family at this time is to take what the devil had intended for evil and use it for the kingdom of God."

Hart's visitation drew an outpouring of support for her loved ones as mourners arrived throughout the day filling even the areas beyond the church. Hammond said efforts to comfort loved ones focused on listening, "Sometimes listening and trying to console them, they end up ministering to you."

Hart's funeral will take place Monday morning at 10:00am at Freedom Christian Church in Jamestown. The suspect in her murder, Christopher Allman is also scheduled to appear in court Monday.
