LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT) - The anticipation is building for Wildcat fans.
Many began lining up for Big Blue Madness Friday afternoon, several hours before the event got underway.
They say they're excited to see the new members of the basketball team.
"It's so exciting, we're excited to kick the season off," said UK junior Jessica Anderson.
"There's really nothing better to stand out this long for Kentucky basketball. That's what it's all about," said UK junior Alex Brown.
"Kentucky basketball is just a way of life for me," said UK junior Victoria Lee. "I grew up born and raised Kentucky basketball. It's just so exciting to see the new players and get excited for the new season."
"Just the atmosphere is awesome. Everybody is so hyped up about the rest of the season. Just get a sneak peak of what is to come the rest of the year," said UK junior Alex Brown
Big Blue Madness starts at 7:00 p.m. on WKYT.
