Strong and severe storms continue to push across central and eastern Kentucky. This action should begin to wind down over the next few hours.
What a day, what a day! We go from the 30s and 40s the past several days to 50s today with a couple locations in the south inching toward 60°! Not only that, but our skies will be mostly clear. Fortunately our temperatures do not stop there. Going into the weekend we will feature 60s all across the state of Kentucky. Unfortunately those will be accompanied by showers and storms.
A few showers will be here on Friday, but the main rain picks up this weekend. Storms on Saturday should be early in the day and move north of the river along the warm front going through the afternoon/evening hours. The main storm activity comes Saturday night into Sunday morning. As of right now we are looking at mainly strong storms as opposed to severe weather. We will definitely watch this one in the days to come.
Back behind this front you can expect a slight chance of snow with colder conditions on the way. Looking toward the Christmas holidays it appears dry for now.
